Chuck E Cheese Birthday Party

Bina turned 4.
All she asked for was a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. She talked about it for weeks, and it lived up to everything she imagined and wanted.
We ordered pizza, which was surprisingly not as bad as it has been in past experiences. We played loads of games, but Sabrina just wanted to go on this one ride...over and over and over again.

We opted for Nothing Bundt Cakes for her cake. We get the little ones, and then everyone can pick their own favorite flavor.
She is definitely easy to please. We love our Bina girl. Everyone who knows her, loves her. Bina loves playing pretend, and is often in her own little world. She is content to play dolls on her bed for hours.

Bina is most definitely the calm in our family. She is such a little lover. We don't know how we got so lucky to get her...but we will gladly take her.

Chalk Art Festival - 2016

Last year we went to the Chalk Art Festival, and we loved it so much we went again this year. If you go later on in the day the crowds are minimal, and most of the art is completed at that point. The only thing that I don't love is it is at the Gateway Mall. Gateway doesn't have a great selection of places to eat for dinner anymore, and lots of shops are just not our cup 'o tea.
We walked through all the cool chalk art, grabbed a giant snow cone to cool off, and let the kids play in the splash pad. When we were done, we drove up the street to our favorite pizza joint Este for dinner.
We were amazed yet again at how talented people are with chalk, and how creative they get. The kids always find a favorite, there were so many good ones this year.

This Is The Place Heritage Park

Every year This Is The Place Heritage Park does a free admission day, and even adds in a free ice cream too! We went last year, and I felt like we didn't get to see as much as I would have liked. We were newbies to the park, and it was so busy. I was looking forward to a take 2 on this adventure.

Drake had a bad night sleep, and I wasn't as excited to go when I woke up...and decided I wasn't going. Then as the day went on, I got motivation in the form of restless kids. Hahaha. So, we headed up in the afternoon. This ended up being a much better decision than going at opening last year.
There was no line to get on the train, it wasn't as busy, and we definitely got to enjoy it way more this year going later.
Things we did this year, that we didn't last...
panning for gold
a shave in the barber shop
we got to see the candy cannon shot
Things we decided to repeat, because we loved them...
the cute little houses
the train ride
the ice cream
the splash pad
This will definitely be a tradition every year. The kids enjoyed themselves a lot more this year, because we kinda knew what we were doing this time. The gold panning was definitely a favorite, and we stayed there for a good hour+.

Name: This Is The Place Heritage Park
Address: 2601 E Sunnyside Ave SLC, UT
Admission/Cost: $12.95 adults/ $8.95 children

kyle and taylor get hitched.

Kyle asked Taylor to marry him, and she said YES! Devin is still heartbroken that his girlfriend isn't on the market anymore.

They asked Bina to be a flower girl, and Devin to carry one of the rings for the wedding.
That means we had an excuse to take a weekend getaway to be a part of it all.

When our drive up to Idaho started with 45 minutes of crying from a certain adorable baby, we were all questioning our decision. Good thing Drake pulled it together, and was the best lil' guy for the rest of the trip.
We stayed in our usual hotel, ate yummy food, went swimming, shopped, and celebrated with the happy couple. We had one scare with Sabrina almost drowning in the hotel pool, but we all recovered...thankfully.
They got married in someones backyard, and the view was breathtaking. It made for the perfect back drop! The kids favorite part was definitely the dance floor!
Kyle gave all the groomsmen funky socks, and he included the little guys in this too! Devin got these amazing floral socks, and LOVES THEM! He hasn't take them off, and has told everyone about them. He even decided to wear them to school on free dress day, because he knew everyone else would think they were cool too!

We are so happy for these 2, and especially thankful for Taylor! She is a great addition to the Bulkley family!
